Point Au Roche Lodge
When reviewing Point Au Roche Lodge, one of our Go Fishing Now staff said "Its beautiful. Its just so beautiful." We think if you take a look at their site, Facebook, or Instagram that you will agree with this review. Not only is this place photogenic, Point Au Roche Lodge provides a great entry point to exploring Lake Champlain on the New York side of the Lake. Point Au Roche sits near the town of Plattsburgh, New York. They offer both a Bed & Breakfast lodge and property rentals. The Lodge is adjacent the Point Au Roche State Park, not far from Lake Champlain. The lodge has eight guest rooms with private baths, some featuring Jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces. We Wan Chu Cottages
Look at a map of the very southwestern part of New York and you will see the massive Lake Erie. Near that you will see a sliver of a lake, by comparison to the Great Lake, this lake, Lake Chautauqua is 18 miles long and may not be the size of Erie but it packs a lot of fishing punch. Due to its well known fishing for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, muskie, walleye and crappie, the staff at Go Fishing Now looked to find accommodations that would meet our judging standards on the Lake. It didn't take us long to find We Wan Chu Cottages. The reviews on We Wan Chu are very strong. They offer housekeeping plans for their cottages. They also have house rentals in the form of Country Chalets. We Wan Chu has pontoon boat rentals and Lund fishing boats. We are always impressed when Lund boats are used for rentals. So if you are not into fishing the big Lake Erie or want a place near Lake Erie that you can fish when you are done with your charter or the lake is too rough, we think We Wan Chu Cottages might be the exact place you are looking for.
